Tract Text
When disaster strikes, it often comes without warning and leaves behind a path of destruction. The recent
disaster will no doubt cause many to suffer psychological and emotional
terror. Our hearts and prayers go out
to the victims and their families.
If you are a victim of this tragedy or if you are someone who has lost a family member or a friend in this disaster, you may be going through great pain and
suffering as a result of
this tragedy. You may
be asking yourself some
questions like, Why did this happen? Where can I turn for
help? Does anyone care?
You may never understand why this tragedy happened. But you can be assured that help and hope is on the way.
People CareThere are thousands of people across our nation and around the world who care. The people who are providing medical aid, food, and shelter do care. And people who are helping financially care. Many people are praying for you and the other victims of this great tragedy. The people who handed you this leaflet also care about you.
God Cares Too!The Bible tells you to, “Cast all your
anxiety on [God] because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5: 7). Whatever your burden may be at this hour, will you not let God bear it? God cares about you. In fact He loves you very much.
The Bible says that God loved us so much that He sent His One and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sins. He was raised from the dead three days later and now offers you the gift of everlasting life if you believe in Him (John 3:16).
God is Reaching Out to YouGod is reaching out to you at this moment.
He will give you strength and grace to meet each new day with its trials and burdens.
Will you cast your burden on God and let
Him take care of you for your present needs? You can tell Him through a prayer like this:
Dear God, I don’t understand what has
happened, but help me to look to You for my every need. I know that I have sinned against you many times in my lifetime. Please forgive me. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, and that You care for me so much that You let Him die on the cross to forgive my sins. I now place my trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior. Amen.
